I have three teenage boys and have been supervisor at Loddiswell Pre-School since 2010. Prior to this I worked as a registered childminder and in a Children’s Centre. I have a paediatric first aid certificate, an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education, and an Open University Certificate in Early Years Practice, as well as an honours degree in English and Linguistics. I gained Early Years Professional Status in July 2012. In my spare time I enjoy walking, gardening, reading and looking after my menagerie of animals.
Supervisor | SENCO | Safeguarding
I am married and have a grown up son and daughter. I was a registered childminder for 19 years before coming to work at Loddiswell Pre-School four years ago for a change of scene. I have an NVQ Level 3 in childcare and paediatric first aid, and I regularly attend up to date courses to help me with my job. I am one of the deputy supervisors. In my spare time I enjoy carriage driving and riding horses.
Emma McBride | Teaching Assistant
I have worked at Loddiswell Pre-School for 20+ years, since my children, now grown up, were here. I have an NVQ Level 2 in childcare and continue to attend relevant courses to update my knowledge and qualifications. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, art, keep fit and salsa dancing. I love my time with the children – they keep me young!
I have lived in Loddiswell for more than 10 years and have been involved with the Pre School since I first arrived in the village.
As a qualified teacher and a governor for the primary school I am dedicated to try to make the children in Loddiswell have the best care and education that they can possibly have. In my spare time I love long walks with my dog and keeping fit, which is very easy with two young boys in tow!!!
